Help Needed! Always!

Good morning!

We are still in need of volunteers for the peach pick-up on August 21st. Here is the link to the signup genius form.

Have you had a Meet & Greet?

Given the last year and a half, many of you have not had the opportunity to engage in your first assignment. IF YOU HAVE NOT HAD A MEET & GREET, please contact Wendy before accepting your first assignment. I will give you convenient dates/times available for your 15-minute Meet & Greet and then send you on your merry way. Good things, this way come!!! 😊

Documentation Update

As a result of our new EMR patient record system, employee and volunteer driving time are no longer collected. Please report only time spent with the patient on future documentation. Thank you for your continued patience with our requirements.

COVID Procedures

As of 8/4/2021, COVID safety procedures remain the same. Please continue to wear masks and shields (inside homes and facilities with comparable requirements. Please continue to connect with facilities, as necessary, to confirm any PPE procedure updates.) If you require additional PPE, please contact Wendy.

COVID-19 AND OPT IN PROCEEDURES

If you have not already opted-in and wish to proceed with in-person volunteer visits at this time, please complete all of the following steps:

1)
Watch this 40 minute COVID education refresher. It will tell you everything you need to know to resume in-person visits. There is a section about weekly testing. This can be ignored. All other requirements mentioned in the video are still in place.

2)
Complete the COVID Competency exam and return it to us at volunteer@trucare.org or by regular mail to the address in my signature below.

3) Complete this short
opt-in Google Form. Please answer all questions.

4)
Complete a personal health screening before each visit or before each shift at the Care Center. For home visits, call the family the day of the visit to confirm they are prepared to see you. Ask them: "has anyone in the home had symptoms of COVID-19 in the last 7 days."  If they say yes, cancel your visit and let us know. Indicate their answer on the corresponding question on your personal health screening.
